SNOW

"Our big sister Kami had this great idea""She wanted to take us to the snow." "So we got on our snow gear"We live in Southern California so we are just about 30 minutes from the snow and an hour from the beach and an hour from the desert!"We love to talk on the cell phone""This is how Mommy does it!""When we got to the snow a guy offered to take our picture. He was going snow camping. That sounds really cool."This is Meilynn' s first visit to the snow with us. We have been watching another person take the trip to Changsha where Meilynn is from and they have had a lot of snow, so we know that snow is something that Meilynn has probably seen before. She loved it!Don't make fun of our attempts to build a snowman. Not being from the snow I have no idea how to do it.This was the best we could come up with. Here we are with our snowman. Now it looks like Emma is having fun here but this is was the last smile we saw. The rest of the time she sat on my lap wanting to go home, while Meilynn and Kami had a blast."Meilynn, I don't know what the big deal is about the snow!" Kami and Meilynn going down the run we made on our plastic trash bag sleds. It was hard to get it started. Mommy and Meilynn on our "run"
Doing it again! Meilynn just kept saying...More!Emma was an onlooker Kami and MeilynnKami making a snow angel with Meilynn on topKami having a little fun on her own! I had such a great time! I don't care to go back.
I am not exactly sure why Emma did not like the snow. There are just some things that she is so afraid to do. She is afraid of the remote control car, mannequins at the stores, rides at Chuck E Cheese or anywhere for that matter. Yet she is our fearless one when it comes to gymnastics etc.

Getting Ready for Kai Lan and Other Really Cute Pictures!

There is a new television show that is starting on February 7Th (Chinese New Year). It features a little Chinese girl named Kai-Lan. The show is called Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. It will be similar to Dora The Explorer except she will be speaking in Mandarin. The girls don't watch much TV, except for music videos and the Baby Channel that we order, so they don't see any commercials yet. This makes grocery shopping a breeze since they don't know about all the foods with the characters on them. I hear children all of the time begging for this brand and that. This worked with my older children so I wanted to do it again. But,we want to watch this show and it will have commercials. I guess I cannot shield them forever, or I could DVR it and skip through the commercials. Anyways on the Nick site their are downloads for puppets and other craft activities. We chose to make the Kai-Lan puppet this day. The girls cannot wait for the show to start and ask everyday to watch Ni Hao, Kai-Lan.We cannot wait for Ni Hao Kai-Lan to start!Meilynn I just want to squeeze you so tight!"Mommy, do you want me to smile like this?""This is my Kai-Lan puppet and I refuse to smile for the picture!""Our first puppet project. Next time Mommy says we need to get glue sticks" We had the girls hair cut a few months ago and it finally almost long enough to go in two Tippy Tails (pony tails) again! Here the girls are trying to give each other a "high five" but can't quite connect! "Meilynn, you are silly" One of the girls favorite thing to say to me is "Silly Mommy" They say it when I drop something or say something funny."This is the way that Mommy and Daddy kiss!" "Let me show you how they do it." The girls have decided that since Mommy doesn't use the Ab-Lounger that it makes a good chair. They like to watch the TV from it.The first time both girls got time outs. We only have one time-out chair so I had to improvise. You may be wondering what they did? They clobbered each other over the head with their cell phones.
Just before leaving for Tumble Tots Of course Kitty Boo Boo has to take her Hello Kitty.Emma will be so embarrassed when we use this picture for her high school yearbook We gave the girls our old cell phones when we got the new I Phones for Christmas. They carry them everywhere.
The girls got these really cool remote control cars for Christmas. The are made for 2 year olds. Meilynn loves hers but Emma is scared to death of it. She won't go anywhere near it. She screams when Meilynn plays with hers so Meilynn and big sister Kami went out on the driveway to drive it.
"Our new cell phones" "Smile"
Having a big sister is so much fun! We love Kami

Learning Tower Mischief

The other day I was reading one of my favorite adoption blogs. It is a mother that has twins. She had this picture of both of her daughters laying up on top of the counter. They had climbed up on the learning tower. I love, love, love, my learning tower. We have had some of the best expericence on the learning tower. The girls can help me cook, bake, or just watch what I am doing. I think I have mentioned before that Daddy doesn't like it at all. He doesn't appreciate the help in the kitchen! And the amount of times we have stubbed our toes on the tower is countless. If the tower is not in the kitchen they hang on my legs, crying "carry you", which means they want me to pick them up. Well when I was reading this Mom's blog I just kind of laughed to see her girls up to such mischief. I hadn't seen my girls trying to climb up on the counters at all so I just leave it there all the time. This is what I saw after coming out of the laundry room today.Yes Miss Tippy Tails was having a grand old time.I think she was inviting Kitty Boo Boo to join her.Caught in the act and told to never do it again. Safely made it down.............until.........
Meilynn, remember what I was doing this morning? Do you want me to show you how? It's easy just do this! (So much for obeying Mommy!) Thanks Emma that was Fun!
