Christmas Eve 2007

Merry Christmas! I hope that all of you have a blessed Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year. I am thankful for so many things. I am the luckiest Mom in the world. I have four beautiful, healthy, loving, caring, daughters and a wonderful husband. I love to look back and see the remarkable changes in my daughters. This is Meghan and Emma last Christmas. Meilynn and Emma Christmas 2007 It is really hard to get a picture of them together. They are always moving!
Meilynn showing you the back of her dress. A beautiful picture of Meilynn, too bad I cut off her head!Emma taking time to smell the flowersMy four beautiful daughters. Meilynn and Emma are taking pictures of me! Little did they know that Santa would bring them their own Elmo cameras the next day! Meilynn Grace Shiyue, Kami Michele, Emma Sophia Mingjing, and Meghan Justine Trying to get a Christmas Eve picture. Meghan gave us these silly hats!
My daughter Kami gave me two very special books. One was of Emma's Adoption Trip and one was of Meilynn's Adoption Trip. It was from our website www.pomafamily.com, where I journaled about our trip. They are beautiful books that I will always cherish as will Emma and Meilynn. Meghan made the girls a beautiful ABC book with pictures of Meilynn and Emma on every page! I will try to photo a few so that you can see what a great job she did. Mike gave me a beautiful Brighton purse with Emma and Meilynn's pictures and an i phone! Daddy always makes the whipped cream at both Grandma and Grandpa's houses. We go to my Mom and Dad's on Christmas Eve and we go to Mike's Mom and Dad's on Christmas Day!

Baby's First Christmas

When we were waiting for Emma we got a Baby's First Christmas Stocking because in additon to our older girl's stockings that were made by their Grandma they had a First Christmas Stocking. I then found a lady on e-bay that could make a stocking just like the one my Grandma made for me when I was little, for Emma. I found her again and she made one for Meilynn. I then ordered a Baby's First Christmas stocking for Meilynn from Pottery Barn. The stocking's I had made for Emma and Meilynn. It is just like the one my Grandma made me when I was a little girl.
Meilynn opening her Baby's First Stocking with a little help from Miss Tippy Tail. Meilynn's First Christmas Stocking Kitty Boo Boo with her stocking A precious moment. Emma reading to her big sister. They are wearing their Tumble Tots ourtfits, which they would wear every day if I would let them!

Daddy's Birthday!

Daddy had a birthday on December 18. He always gets a little left out with all of the Christmas happenings. But this year we took him out to our favorite Thai resturant where they like kids like us, (that would be loud, noisy and messy) Mommy was wearing this top with sequins and I (Emma) couldn't keep from touching them. I kept touching them and saying out loud Mommy's breast. Mommy told me to stop and then I said Emma's boobs!............ (Mommy note: Lately when you ask Emma not to do something she says Emma's and what ever the thing is. For example if I say "Quit hitting" she will say, "My hitting". So in the resturant she kept saying, Mommy's Breast and then when I told her to stop she touched her chest and said, "Emma's boobs")
Kami, Emma, and Meghan decorate Daddy's cake. Meilynn was napping. Kami took Daddy bowling for his present. It was a surprise. Bowling is too late for us so we didn't get to go. We hope to go bowling with Daddy soon. We did it when we were in China and we loved it. They had a bowling alley in our Hotel in Changsha. Daddy and Meilynn waiting for the cake. That is 48 candles! Can daddy blow them all out? Yes, but we think the smoke alarm almost went off!
Daddy cutting the cake! I (Meilynn) love cake and Emma only likes the ice cream. Happy Birthday Daddy!

Oh No! Cheeri-Nose!

Cheerios are a favorite of both Meilynn and Emmas. Today while driving home from Tumble Tots we had a little Cherrio incident. Luckily both Kami and Meghan were with me at Tumble Tots because of Christmas Break. I usually give the girls their snack cups with Cheerios on the way home in the car. Meghan was sitting in between Emma and Meilynn when she noticed that Emma was snorting. Thinking that Emma had a booger Meghan asked for a Kleenex to help Emma out. But after closer inspection she discovered that Emma had put a Cheerio up her nose. She tried to get her to blow it out but it was STUCK! Meghan said, "Mom, I think you had better pull over." So Mommy pulls over in a parking lot. I go to Emma's side and open the door. She does have a Cheerio up her nose and it is really stuck. It is in her nose standing up. It is even pushing her nose out a little and you can feel it on the outside too! I have never been able to grow my fingernails but I can grow the ones on my baby fingers for some reason. And they just happen to be long right now. I put my fingernail up there but it won't budge. By now Emma is screaming! I have to tell her that we will have to go to the Dr. to get it out if she doesn't let me get it. At this point I think that we really will be going to the Dr. because it doesn't feel like I can get it. But after much persistence my fingernail gets it to move. And finally I pull it out. I tell Emma never to put things in her nose and that Cheerios are for her mouth only. She then proceeds to try and eat the Cherrio! Gross! So that was our little Cheeri-Nose incident. Emma has had egg, rice, and now Cherrios up her nose and who knows what else has been in there that I missed!

Our First Trip to Disneyland 2007

Mommy and Daddy kept telling us we were going to go to this place called Disneyland. We didn't know what it was but we were all for going! The weeks before Mommy and Daddy showed us Disney movies and books so that we would at least recognize a few Characters. Below is a picture of Mommy Kami and Emma on the tram to get into Disneyland. Meilynn and I were still wondering what this Disneyland thing was. This is a picture of the whole family. First is Meilynn, Meghan, Mommy, Emma, Daddy, and Kami. Meghan's boyfriend, Nick came also but he was the one taking the picture. Mommy and Daddy decided to Not take the double strollers. They didn't want us fighting and this way we had our own space. (Mommy note- This was the best decision we made. We knew we were going to be there a long time and we new that it might be crowded. It wasn't that crowded but we were able to wait in lines with our strollers rather than holding them the whole time. We could not have waited in the lines with a double. But the best thing was the girls did not fight all day! And when one was sleeping the other one could go off and do things still!) Here I am in my old single stroller! Emma and Daddy in front of It's a small world. It was the first ride we went on. Meilynn loved it and Emma held on tight to her Daddy. Daddy trying on a hat!
Meghan trying on Meilynn's hat. Mommy and Daddy bought us Minnie Mouse hats. It is a tradition in our family to get mouse ears the first time you go to Disneyland. Mommy and Emma after going on It's a Small World
Meghan and Nick on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We were taking a nap when they went on that ride! Daddy with another silly hat! We love to say silly Daddy.I look a little unsure still. I loved the submarine! We saw Nemo! Daddy is sooooooooooooooooooo funny!
I am funny too!Me too! With our hats! We got to choose our own! I am playing Meghan's scarf. I like to tease her. Wow! This is a long day! ( Mommy note- Both of the girls fell asleep within 30 minutes of each other and took good naps while the big kids rode the fast rides. ) We both got to choose a stuffed animal. We both chose Minnie. I was brave enough to go on Dumbo. Emma watched me and after she saw me she wished that she had gone!Mommy got the short straw and had to change my diaper while we were in line at the Autopia. We had been in line a long time and she didn't see how to get out with my smelly diaper, so she found this area where no one was standing and changed me right there. She decided they would rather smell this diaper change than to smell me in line the whole time. A Mommy knows how to do these things! The beautiful castle decorated for Christmas. It was so beautiful seeing Disneyland with all of the Christmas decorations!
Daddy holding me tight! We had a great day! A funny or sad thing happened to Mommy and Daddy when they went on Space Mountain. All of the rockets were going one way but Mommy and Daddy's rocket went another way and then it stopped! The sat for a few minutes and then they pulled up this ladder with stairs on it and took off the people in the first row. Mommy and Daddy thought that maybe they had changed their minds, but then they pulled the ladder up to the second row and those people got off and then the next row. Mommy and Daddy knew that something was happening but they didn't know what. Then they got to Mommy and Daddy's row and they got off. Daddy asked what was happening. You won't believe this! They weigh each rocket and Mommy and Daddy's rocket was overweight! So they had to go back around, skip the line and get back in another rocket with lighter people! Mommy thinks that it is sad that so many people in America are overweight!
