Tea Party at Grandma and Grandpa's house

First of all, wow!  I didn't even know that anyone was still reading or looking at my blog other than family!  Thank you all for your great suggestions!  From the advice to get help with getting the girls to all of their activities to how to post about our summer vacation and keep up with current postings.  Thanks!

My Mom gave me the gift (for my birthday) of watching the girls so that Mike and I could go out after Church today.  Something that we rarely get to do together.  My Mom has a collection of dolls that she was ready to give away and she wanted to give them to the girls in a special way.  I kinda gave her a hard time about giving us the dolls because I didn't know where we would keep them. (Also, my plan this year is to really go through everything in the house and give away what we don't need, use, or consider special.) They are porcelain, so not dolls to play with.  I feel bad that I acted that way, so I am sorry Mom.  The girls love them and they will always be a reminder of this special day you spent with them.

After Church my Mom and Dad took the girls to lunch and then to their house to play.  My Mom  planned a special tea party to introduce the dolls to them and to give them to the girls.  I am sure the day will be a day they will treasure forever.  As for our date, we went for a quick lunch, to the movies, and then we didn't know what to do being out of practice so we ended up at Costco getting groceries for the week. (Another thing we need to add to our list of new things this year, get a babysitter so we can have a date night)

Thanks Mom and Dad for making such beautiful memories for our girls!
