Valentine's Day and Jilliana's Forever in our Arms Day

 My little valentines,

 Emma, Lily, Jilliana, and Meilynn

Usually when the girls wake up on Valentine's Day they find a candy heart or candy of some sort.  Since we are taking the 100 Day pledge (11 days done) I had to come up with something just a little different.  I found these snacks that fulfilled all the rules.  I'm not sure how the girls will like them, but they were packaged cute and at least they felt like they had something special.

Lily had her party.  I made homemade strawberry ice cream for her since the other kids were having go-gurts, cupcakes, and strawberries.  She was not disappointed at all.  I also brought it for Emma and Meilynn.  Their class was having ice cream sundaes.

Jilliana got the special chair in Lily's class.  Today is 2 years since we signed the papers in China for Jilliana.  What a blessing and joy she has been to our family.  She rules the house! (she thinks)
Making a little craft.

Jilliana and her friend Lily.  Lily has twin sisters in Emma and Meilynn's class.  They always play together while we wait for the girls to finish school.
Emma sorting through her Valentines after school.  Taking out the candy.  They each saved one piece for after the 100 Day Pledge.  I hope that we will continue to eat this way 85% of the time after the pledge.  So there will be room for the occasional "processed" food.  But who knows how we will feel at the end of this.  My family has surprised me by their commitment.
Meilynn going through her candy.  I told the girls when I was little we had valentine boxes that has assorted valentines.  We would decide which valentine to give to each kid.  I remember spending a lot of time deciding who to give them too and making sure that the boys didn't get one that would make them think I liked them.  But I do remember in 3rd grade there was a boy named Harry Reed.  I made sure he got the biggest one I had. :)

Grandma stopped by while we were doing homework with  a valentine, notebook and stickers.

Bravo to you and your family for doing this! Especially to you for being able to keep up with and to convince teachers to go along.

I have no doubt you will all make the 100 days and more. Cheers!
